Dover Police investigating armed robbery at Red Roof Inn hotel

DOVER, Del. – An investigation is underway after a reported robbery took place early Thursday morning.

Police say the incident occurred just before 4:30 AM, when two male suspects entered the business and told the clerk they wanted to rent a room. One of the suspects then reportedly pointed a handgun at the clerk while the second suspect jumped over the counter and took cash from the register. The two then fled the scene.
