Temporary closure of US 113 in Snow Hill this weekend
SNOW HILL, Md. – Heads up to motorists traveling through Snow Hill this weekend: Route 113 near Snow Hill will be closed over the weekend.
Starting at 6 PM Friday, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close US 113, also known as Worcester Highway, near the area of Snow Hill. The road is scheduled to reopen by 6 AM on Monday.
The purpose of this closure is to rebuild the current Maryland-Delaware railroad crossing and build a new crossing for future northbound US 113. This is all part of MDOT SHA’s plans to upgrade 4.3 miles of Route 113 into a four lane divided highway from MD 365 (Public Landing Road) to Five Mile Branch Road.
Motorists will be detoured onto US 113 Business during this closure.
