Delaware State Police reveal $6,000 reward for information on Frankford murder

FRANKFORD, De- The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing its investigation into the murder of 33-year-old Dioandre D. Gibbs of Lincoln, which occurred back in May of 2021.
According to DSP, at approximately 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18th, Frankford Police and Delaware State Troopers were dispatched to Honolulu Road near Kauffman Lane for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Dioandre Gibbs sitting in the driver’s seat of a gray 2012 Volkswagen with a gunshot wound. Delaware State Police say they hope a new $6,000 reward can help them get information from the community that can lead to an arrest.
“We want to make sure whether it’s a third party or anyone who heard something, we want to follow up with everyone who has information they can give to us or be somebody who lives in the area or potentially heard through a third party, any information we can act upon, follow up with and check the tape to build up this case,” said Delaware State Police PIO Gary Fournier.
Fournier tells us that Delaware Crime Stoppers were out in the community putting up signs of Gibb’s picture advertising the reward.
