One injured in Halloween night shooting in Laurel, police investigating

LAUREL, Del. – Laurel Police say they are actively investigating a shooting that happened Halloween night.

We’re told officers were called to a shots fired complaint in the area of Hollybrook Apartments on October 31st. On arrival, it was learned that one victim sustained injuries from a gunshot. Laurel Police, Delaware State Police, and DNREC officers on scene took life-saving measures to help the victim until they could be taken to the hospital for treatment.

Further investigation has revealed that two suspects approached the victim as he was walking up the stairwell and shot him from behind in an ambush style assault. The persons of interest are pictured above.
