Rehoboth Beach Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a car that fled the scene of a hit and run crash in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday.

Through investigative efforts, the Rehoboth Beach Police believe that at around 1:30 AM, a silver Chevrolet Tracker, possibly a model year 2002-2005, struck a car parked along the shoulder of Sussex Street just east of Fourth Street.

As a result of the crash, the struck car was forced onto the shoulder of the roadway and sustained extensive, disabling damage, according to police.

Parts of the Chevrolet Tracker were left behind on scene and are shown in the picture above, provided by police. Also pictured is a representation of the make, model and style of the suspect car.

It is currently unknown if the driver of the car was injured in the collision.
