Locals spend their August nights at the Firemen’s Carnival

We've put the Delaware State Fair behind us for the summer, but the fun and games continue.

The Sharptown Firemen's Carnival is well underway, and we're told this is the biggest event of the year for the local fire company.

Officials tell us the carnival, which has been a local tradition for over 90 years, funds most of the company's operations throughout the year.

Folks who attend have their choice of family friendly rides and games, and have their chance to win giveaways, including a $12,000 cash giveaway.

The carnival opens at 7 PM each night except Sundays through August 25.
