Women’s Fest returns for 18th year

This weekend in Rehoboth marks the 18th year for Women's Fest, one of the premier LGBT events in the mid-atlantic region.
This year's event features headline singer Janis Ian, along with famous authors, sporting activities and other festivities.
The purpose of the weekend long event is to bring women in the LGBT community together. Organizers want women to remember what the movement has acheived so far, as well what still needs to be done, including protecting the rights of LGBT women and making sure progress made in the past is not lost.
"We're gathering here by the beach to enjoy Rehoboth Beach, the beauty of Rehoboth. But also to celebrate all of the strides that we've made, and the things we have yet to do in the community," says Fay Jacobs, co-chair of the Women's Fest.
Tickets are still available for this event, you can buy them at camprehoboth.com.
