Pedestrian struck, killed on Route 13

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday night involving a pedestrian in Dover.
As a pedestrian ran across Route 13 around 10 PM, a Chevrolet Silverado traveling northbound struck the pedestrian, throwing her into the left lane.
The operator of the Silverado, a 49-year-old man of Smyrna, was properly restrained and was wearing his seatbelt. Impairment does not appear to be a factor on his behalf.
The pedestrian, 25-year-old, Larissa M. Tallhamer of Smyrna, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She was wearing dark clothing with no reflective material, and was not carrying a light. Impairment on her behalf is unknown at this time.
