From Agriculture to Art

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.– The Rehoboth Art League was formed back in 1938 as a place where artists could gather, teach, and exhibit there work.

This month they are showcasing their from Agriculture to Art, an art exhibit about the origins of the art league.

Exhibition director Nick Serratore says that this exhibit is like a walk through time.

“We have a lot of history right here in Rehoboth especially on our property,” Serratore said. “In fact it goes beyond 250 years and we got to discover things we didn’t even know about the property.”

Attendees of this exhibit will be able to witness three centuries of history through multiple mediums of art.

“It’s documents, it’s photos, it’s a lot,” Serratore said. “Everything you see inside the homestead for this exhibition came from our collection.”

As attendees explore the exhibit throughout the month Serratore hopes people will leave the exhibit feeling inspired and reflective.

“There’s a sense of peace when you come and see or read about the mission of the art league,” Serratore said. “Once you see what we have to offer it is truly inspiring.”

The From Agriculture to Art exhibition is free and on display until September 20th at the Rehoboth Art League.
