Dover man arrested for robbery of landscaper

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man for an armed robbery that happened earlier this week.

42-year-old Richard Morgan was arrested and charged with first degree robbery and felony possession of a firearm.

On Monday, troopers responded to the Wolf Creek Boulevard in Dover for a report of an armed robbery.

An investigation revealed that Morgan approached a landscaper who saw a firearm handle in the waistband of Morgan.

Morgan allegedly reached for the victim and displayed a small metal baseball bat after the victim pushed him away.

Morgan then grabbed the victim’s pants and picked up the victim’s wallet.

The victim was not injured.

Morgan was later arrested on South State Street in Dover.

He was committed to the Department of Correction on $80,000 cash bond.
