Ribbon cutting marks new purpose for former Salisbury City Hall

SALISBURY, Md. — Salisbury’s former City Hall is beginning a new chapter as the city’s Housing and Community Development Department officially opens its new headquarters in the downtown building.

The former City Hall, acquired from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has long been a fixture in downtown Salisbury. Over the years, it has served the community in a variety of roles.

City leaders, local business owners and community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the building’s transformation and its new purpose as the home of the Housing and Community Development Department.

Housing and Community Development Director Muir Boda spoke with WMDT about the ribbon cutting and what the building’s next chapter means for the city.
