Salisbury Community Players Go Back in Time for 1776: The Musical
SALISBURY, Md. – The Community Players of Salisbury are going back in time for their upcoming performance of 1776: The Musical.
Local actors will put on their rendition of the Tony-winning musical at the Wicomico High School Auditorium, opening Friday, Jun. 12. The story is set in the summer of 1776, as the nation is ready to declare independence. But, will the founding fathers be able to agree to do it?
Enjoy the humorous recounting of the nation’s history through Salisbury’s thespians at 7:30 p.m., on Jun. 12 and 13, and at 2:00 p.m. on Jun. 14. This production is directed by Sharon Benchoff, with music directed by Susan Robinson.
