Mark Lewis defeats incumbent to win Dorchester County Sheriff Republican primary

DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md. – After Tuesday’s primary, Incumbent Dorchester County Sheriff James Phillips Jr. fell to challenger Mark Lewis.

Lewis had roughly 78 percent of the vote.

He’ll face Democrat Christine LaMonica who beat out LeRoi Robinson-Grant for the Democratic nomination.

LaMonica had 74 percent of the vote.
