Kent Island boys lacrosse repeats as state champions

STEVENSVILLE, Md. – Kent Island completed their title defense with a dominating 9-3 victory over third-seeded Hereford in the MPSSAA 2A boys lacrosse championship Tuesday night.

The Bucs found themselves trailing 3-2 in the first quarter. Senior goalie Kasey Heath and the Bucs defense locked all windows and doors, shutting down the Bulls offense for the final three-plus quarters.

Mark Rees led the Bucs with three goals, Micah Quinn and Tucker Claxton each had two scores.

Kasey Heath had eight saves in net in his final game for Kent Island.
