Tornado touches down in Sussex County

Ellendale, Del. – A tornado warning is in effect over Ellendale or 7 miles north of Georgetown moving west at 50 mph.

The tornado made landfall at 6:12 EDT in the Ellendale area, with damaging tornado conditions and quarter-size hail.

Those in the area are advised to take cover until the warning expires at 6:45pm.
