Salesianum claims state championship from the Vikings

SMYRNA, Del.– Salesianum defeated Cape Henlopen 36-27 on Saturday night.

Cape was down 18-0 early to Sallies and it got worse for the Vikings as Leo Marini pinned Cale Baker for the pinfall. Cape would start to turn things around in the 132 class as Nicolas Walker defeated Brady Bartkowski for 2 points as time expired.

They would try to keep momentum on their side in the 138 weight class as Joshua Wright pinned Matthew Copeland for a pinfall victory. 

Unfortunately the lead that Sallies built early on would just be too much for the Vikings to overcome.
