Third suspect arrested in connection to July homicide

EASTON, Md. – A Cambridge woman has been charged with accessory after the fact of first degree murder and other related charges in connection to a fatal shooting back in July.

Detectives with the Easton Police Department were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Capital Regional Fugitive Task Force in arresting 28-year-old Khadijah Jones on Thursday.

Jones was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 42-year-old George Barney on July 3rd. 21-year-old Jalyn Barney was arrested 12 days after the shooting and charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. 41-year-old Charlene Morton was arrested later in the month and charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to second degree murder, and two counts of accessory after the fact of first and second degree murder.

Jones has been charged with accessory after the fact of first degree murder, obstructing and hindering, and harboring a fleeing felon. She was released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
