Cape Henlopen crushes Delmar thanks to big second half

DELMAR, Del — Cape Henlopen uses a 21-0 run in the second half to blow out Delmar in a 3A/2A matchup. Both teams came into the game at 2-2, trying to get on the winning side of things and neither team scored in the first quarter.

The defense ruled the first quarter and so did penalties, the teams were flagged a combined 6 times in the first quarter but things started to turn around as time went on.

Takai Hugee scored first for the Wildcats, then Charles Fritchman returned the kickoff for a touchdown to tie the game up at seven.

The Vikings would score at the end of the half to make it a 14-7 game before dominating the second half 28-7 thanks to four touchdown runs by Maurki James.
