Pair arrested for vehicle break-ins at Harrington hotel


HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police have arrested two people in connection to a report of vehicle break-ins.

We’re told officers were contacted by staff members at a local hotel after they saw two males entering unlocked vehicles in the parking lot during the early morning hours. Officers were able to identify the suspects through security footage from the building and tracked them to a rented room at the hotel.

The pair, identified as 25-year-old Robert McKewen and 27-year-old Gavin Kulhanek, were taken into custody and charged with third degree burglary (vehicle), second degree conspiracy, and theft under $1500.

Kulhanek was released on his own recognizance, while McKewen was held at SCI on a $3,000 cash bond.

Mugshots for the suspects are not available at this time.
