Gifted Athletes take down Kings in summer league championship

SNOW HILL, Md.– Gifted Athletes took down the Kings in the championship game in a final score of 45-38 on Monday night.

Gifted controlled the tempo early on by jumping out to a 11-4 lead in the opening minutes of the first half. The Kings would eventually get going with some drives from Antwan Wilson and Jaydon Handy.

Both teams would stay neck and neck in the second half but Gifted would never surrender the lead as they would capture the  summer league championship. The top scorers for Gifted were Za’Kai Smullen with 14 points and Jace Hudson with 11 points.

Top scorers for the Kings were Antwan Wilson and Jaydon Handy. Wilson finished with 14 while Handy finished with 9.
