Wicomico State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes holds strong lead in Unofficial Results

SALISBURY,Md- Unofficial numbers indicate that incumbent Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes will likely hold her seat.

With 73 percent of the votes, Dykes sits at a 3,000 vote lead over challenger James L. “Lee” Britt with 26 percent.
Dykes says she sees it as a vote of confidence for her office and the job they have been doing since elected.

“I think our record speaks for itself I think the work we have been doing got noticed and that the voters were educated on those issues, we are humbled by the publics’ overwhelming confidence and are back to work,” she said.

Dykes has served in the role since 2018.
