Dove Pointe Director honored with street naming for years of service

SALISBURY, Md. – Dove Pointe Executive Director Don Hackett now has a day and street named in his honor, after a surprise dedication in was held at Dove Pointe Thursday. Mount Hermon Road between Civic Avenue and Beaglin Park Dr. will now known as Don Hackett way.

The City of Salisbury also adopted a resolution to create June 9th as Don Hackett’s day. Organizers say the Dove Pointe center has been a staple in the community since 1999 and that the care and the joy it brings would not be possible without Don.

“Every community deserves their own Dove Pointe and their own Don,” said Salisbury City Council Member Jack Heath.
