Sussex County family bringing awareness to autism with inflatables

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – A family-owned business is hosting a spring grand opening event that will support Autism awareness day.

The Carannante’s own Tony’s Pizza and Pasta in Bridgeville, and more recently, ‘All About Inflatables by L & N’, a party rental company. They tell us, they were blessed with a son who has autism, and while their business helps bring smiles to kids’ faces, they say they wanted to support other families too.

On Saturday, April 2nd, they’re hosting an event with food, games, music, and of course, plenty of inflatables. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Autism Delaware and schools and programs involving autism. Family members say it means the world to them that they’re able to put this event together.

“We’re very happy that we can put smiles on their faces and that they see us as supporting, I think also because of us being touched with autism as well so we know exactly how they’re feeling and it makes us feel good,” says Rose ‘Nella’ Carannante, a business operator at Tony’s Pizza and All About Inflatable’s by L & N, as well as the mother of Danny, who has autism. her sister and business partner, Lisa Carannante adds, “It’s good to support autism and kids with special needs I mean we want to support that, especially because I have an autistic nephew and we’d do anything we can to support him.”

The event kicks off next Saturday at 11 at Tony’s Pizza in Bridgeville and admission is $5 per child.
