Delmarva Christian’s late shot propels them over Lake Forest

GEORGETOWN, Del.– Delmarva Christian beat Lake Forest in a final score of 35-32 on Friday.

Delmarva Christian would control the game early on and end the 1st quarter with a 12-8 lead. The Spartans and the Royals would go into halftime with the score being 19-16.

Lake Forest would end the 3rd quarter with a buzzer beater by Breanna Johnson and go into the 4th with a 28-24 lead. Delmarva Christian’s Kaela Mitchell would knock down a 3 point shot with less than 40 seconds left to give her team the 3 point lead.

Lake Forest would not be able to get the win or force overtime. Delmarva Christian plays Holly Grove Christian next, while Lake Forest plays Seaford next.
