Capital School District offering COVID-19, flu vaccines for community

Next Steps After Fda Authorizes Covid Vaccine

DOVER, Del. – The Capital School District is partnering with Atlantic Apothecary and the Kent County Coalition to offer free COVID-19 and flu vaccines from staff, students, and the community.

We’re told these events will offer the first and second dose of the Pfizer vaccine for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as booster Pfizer shots for adults. Flu vaccines will also be available. Vaccines will be offered at the following locations:

  • Towne Point Elementary School – Dover: Wednesday December 1st, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Dover High School: Thursday December 2nd, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • William Henry Middle School – Dover: Friday December 3rd, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is highly recommended. Those interested in being vaccinated at one of these events should email Lawanda.Burgoyne@capital.k12.de.us to reserve a spot. A representative from the Kent County Coalition will then call to confirm the registration and schedule a specific location and time for vaccination.
