Ocean Pines to count 2021 Election ballots, will not move forward with redo election at this time
OCEAN PINES, Md. – Members of the Ocean Pines Elections Committee will begin counting ballots for the 2021 Board of Directors election at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th.
Earlier this week, the court ordered that the Ocean Pines Association count the ballots from the 2021 election and advised against moving forward with the redo election, announced late last week. Because of this ruling, the count will include all four candidates: Frank Daly, Stuart Lakernick, David C. Hardy, and Richard Farr.
Ocean Pines will not mail new election ballots at this time.
The count will be open to the public, and members of the Elections Committee will announce voting totals at the conclusion of the county. We’re told the scanning of all valid ballots is expected to take several hours.
