Queen Anne’s softball powers past Eastern Tech in quarterfinals

CENTREVILLE, Md. – A sixth inning home run by Kamryn Brandt was the shot that ensured a Queen Anne’s 11-5 victory over Eastern Tech Tuesday evening. The Lions now move on to the 2A state semifinals.

Queen Anne’s exploded out of the gate with five runs, including home runs by Brandt and Autumn Huber. The Lions added another in the second, but Tech fought back.

Eastern Tech scored three runs off of senior pitcher Cameron Whiteford in the fifth inning, closing the score to 6-5.

Queen Anne’s scored two runs in their half of the fifth and three in the sixth.

The Lions will face 3-seed South Carroll Wednesday in Centreville.
