Parkside baseball falls in state quarterfinal

North Harford takes 1-0 win

SALISBURY, Md- The Parkside Rams baseball team fell in the state quarterfinal, dropping a close 1-0 contest Tuesday afternoon to North Harford.

After five scoreless innings, the Hawks would find their way onto the scoreboard.

With one out and runners on second and third, a fielder’s choice would result in two North Harford runners being caught between second and third. Parkside would throw the ball to second base, allowing North Harford’s Jackson Miller to take off for the plate and slide in safe.

Hawks senior pitcher Mitchell Wattkemp finished with 13 strikouts in the game, scattering six hits.
