New restaurant brings Caribbean splash to OC beachfront

OCEAN CITY, MD.- The beachfront community got a splash of Jamaican flare with a new restaurant.

Ocho Rios Jerk and Tings is serving authentic dishes, promising you’ll feel like you’re in the Caribbean with every bite.

The Co-owners, who are Jamaican, say they wanted to bring a piece of their culture to the area as they’ve visited over the years.

On the menu you’ll find items like chicken, seafood, and veggie dishes all covered in their signature Jerk Sauce.

The owners say their goal is to provide great food, a fun environment and remain true to their roots. “People are coming to ocean city for that beach vibe, people are coming to ocean city for that island vibe. So one of the things that we wanted to bring was the authentic Jamaican vibe to ocean city,” said Co-Owner Dwight Green.

“We’re continuing to build as we go along to continue to get the support from the locals and from the tourists. This is just a start of what Ocho Rios Jerk and Tings is going to be,” said Co-Owner Roy Salmon.

The owners also say they have gotten positive feedback from the community so far.
