New owner of Crown Sports Center planning to continue legacy of the facility

FRUITLAND, Md.- Crown Sports Center, in Fruitland, has a new owner and they said they’re excited to continue the legacy of the facility.

The indoor athletic and entertainment facility was purchased by Gillis Gilkerson Principal Brad Gillis.

We’re told, it’s one of the largest athletic facilities in the region with turf fields and courts that host leagues, tournaments, and clinics.

The new owner said many people use the facility, so they want to continue offering that to the community, as well as getting input on improvements.

“It’s our goal to continue to have that place ,that destination for our community to create those memories, so we are extremely excited about it, we think we are well positioned to be a good listener and be a good steward,” Gillis said.

Gillis said getting people’s opinions on what changes they’d like to see is vital to the continued success of the operation.

He said the next step for the company is reaching out to stakeholders to get input.
