Cambridge puts up a 50 burger, sweeps Colonel on the season
CAMBRIDGE, MD.- Behind seven touchdowns from seven different players, the Cambridge South-Dorchester Vikings defeated Colonel Richardson 50-0 to move to 3-1 on the season. The loss drops Colonel to 2-2.
Cambridge scored early and often in this one. Seven drives saw seven touchdowns from seven different Vikings. CSD led 41-0 at the break and held strong in the second half to keep the Colonels out of the end zone in the section for the 50-0 win.
The Vikings got first quarter touchdowns from senior Donald Banks, and a TD pass from John Henry to Jay’Zon Roberts. The Vikings kicked off the second quarter with rushing score from Dario Belizaire. After a botched Colonel kick return, Nasim Hawkins capitalized with a pitch off the right side for a score. Malcolm Edwards and Tim Johnson pitched in to make it 41-0 at half.
Jordan Manokey scored the lone TD of the second half.
Cambridge returns to the field next Friday when they travel to Snow Hill to take on the Eagles. Colonel will host Kent County next Friday looking to get back in the win collumn.
