Delmar downs Blue Jays, remain unbeaten
DELMAR, Del. – Delmar continued their march through the Henlopen South with another victory, this time defeating Seaford, 60-51, Tuesday night.
Offense was at a premium in the first half. Delmar scored three field goals, Seaford connected on four in the first 16 minutes of play. The Wildcats took a two-point advantage into the break.
Delmar took control in the second half with a more efficient offense. The Wildcats committed just seven turnovers in the second half compared to 14 in the first half. Delmar also went 15-of-22 from the line to close the game out.
Jeremiah Lumpkin-Beale led the Wildcats in scoring with 21, Cameron Bozman added 14.
Brent Ricketts did all he could to keep Seaford alive, scoring 27, including seven 3-pointers.
Delmar (3-0) will travel to play Woodbridge on Thursday. Seaford (1-1) will play at Sussex Academy Thursday.
