SEAFORD Del. – Christmas is right around the corner, and one local program is working to make sure kids in need wake up to gifts, under their tree.

For the third year, Operation Secret Santa out of Seaford, Delaware, is providing gifts for children and families. Operation Secret Santa is a partner with Love INC of Mid-Delmarva, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving those in need.

Love INC finds the families in need, and Operation Secret Santa gathers volunteers to sponsor the families around the western Sussex county area.
The gifts are delivered to families homes five days before Christmas.

“I hate to think of a family and the children that don’t have Christmas presents, that’s the driver right there, just to think about that and if we can be apart of a bigger picture to bring Christmas and Christmas presents to children out there, I mean why would you not want to be apart of that, it’s an absolute joy,” says Founder of Operation Secret Santa, Matt MacCoy.

MacCoy also says, he hopes to continue sponsoring more families throughout Delaware. The organization sponsors over fifty families a year, and that number continues to grow.

If you know a family in need, or want to volunteer, you can find Matt MacCoy on Facebook, and message him for more information.
