Oak Ridge Baptist Church gearing up for their annual Santa’s Wonderland event

SALISBURY, Md. – If you’re looking for a little Christmas magic, you may not have to look any further than Oak Ridge Baptist Church. They’re gearing up for the annual Santa’s Wonderland event and they’ve made some changes this year to keep everyone safe from COVID-19. “We know that 2020 as a whole has just been really difficult for families. So Oak Ridge really wanted to make sure that we could put that message out there that hope is not lost, and that Christmas is still going to be huge. We’re going to hit everything we can with Santa’s Wonderland this year,” said Heather Smith with Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

This year the event will be a drive through wonderland in their parking lot. That’s where families will get to see Santa’s kitchen and workshop, Mrs. Claus, and even the big guy himself. “We’re going to fill the entire parking lot with Christmas and the spirit of Santa and all of the things that we can do to welcome families here for that,” said Smith.

They’ll also have displays from local businesses and plenty of Christmas goodies and crafts to go around. “Oak Ridge’s mission is to bring hope and healing to hearts and homes. What better way to do that than at Christmas time? So we still want everyone to know that Christmas is on, that hope is alive, and that they can come here to this event with their families and enjoy some Christmas magic,” said Smith.

You can experience Santa’s Wonderland from December 10th through 12th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event is free, and the church is welcoming all folks who want to get in on the fun. Click here for more information.
