Wildcats overcome sloppy performance to blank IR

First game for Delmar since 11/13

DAGSBORO, De- It wasn’t pretty, but the job got done. Those were the sentiments of Delmar head coach David Hearn after the Wildcats 21-0 victory over Indian River on Saturday.

Having not played in two weeks, Delmar committed multiple turnovers all day, but forced more from the Indians. Jaylin Warner led the offensive charge with a rushing touchdown and a punt return for score.

On defense, Trevor Gibson registered an interception and fumble return for score.

Delmar (3-1) will take on rival Laurel next week, while Indian River (3-3) will conclude their season next week taking on Lake Forest.
