Dagsboro family still bringing Christmas cheer to families this year

DAGSBORO, Del.- The Santa’s Letter Incorporated Organization got in the Christmas spirit tonight as they are received a mailbox that helps them get kids letters out to Santa Clause and help families in need.

We are told families could join the organization’s event at 7 p.m. as the Bethany Beach Fire Department and the Millville Fire Department dropped off the mailbox.

The mailbox is a part of the winter wonderland that the family has outside of their home at 2 Windward Way in Dagsboro.

Kids or families put letters in describing what they want or need for Christmas- and Santa will write them a letter back.

The organization said while this year has been so uncertain they still want to put smiles on kids and families faces.

“How hard it is for the kids this year its very un-normal the kids don’t have too many things to do, so giving them something to get out of the house, have some fun, and even get a letter back from Santa Clause should be really awesome,” Sean Malone, with Santa’s Letters Inc. Organization, said.

This is the third year that the organization has been delivering letters to Santa.

They add they also help those in need by supplying families with essentials like coats.

Malone said last year they were able to help 30 families through donations, this year they want to help 50.

We are told you can drop-off letters until around December 22.

If you want to help donate to help spread the magic of Christmas, you can log on to their website at www.santaslettersinc.com.
