Smyrna scores 40 straight to roll Dover in season opener

SMYRNA, Del.- Behind 4 touchdowns from Senior QB Aidan Sanchez, the Smyrna Eagles roll past Dover to move to 1-0 on the season with the 40-7 win. The Senators drop to 0-1 to start the season.

After going down 7-0 in the second quarter, Smyrna rattled off 40 straight points to get the week one win over Dover. Junior QB Jordan Moran scored the lone Senators touchdown off of a one yard sneak up the middle to start the second quarter.

The Eagles got four touchdowns through the air from Senior QB Aidan Sanchez, all to different receivers. Devin Smith, Devin DeMoe, Dominick Galban, and Yamir Knight were al on the receiving end. Wayne Knight pitched in on the ground with an 80 yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

The Eagles travel to Lewes next Friday to take on Cape looking for win number two, Dover hosts Selesianum next Friday still looking for their first win of the season.
