Global Cat Day: BVSPCA looking for homes for working cats

GEORGETOWN, Del. –  Cat lovers, this one is for you! Friday is Global Cat Day, a day all about celebrating our feline friends and all the love they bring to our lives.

But it’s also a day to talk about fostering, adopting, and caring for cats.

Linda Torelli , with the Brandywine Valley SPCA, says they’ve actually seen an increase in cat fosters throughout the pandemic because more people are staying at home and can care for animals. But, she says they’re still looking for more homes for working cats and it doesn’t just have to be inside of a barn.

“If you have a warehouse, church, an artist studio, really anywhere where a cat can have free roaming range, along with food and water and litter from you,” Torelli explained.

She says if you’re looking for a working cat, you can contact the shelter and they can help you find your perfect match.
