Drug investigation leads to two arrests
GREENWOOD, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two people on Wednesday as a result of a drug investigation in the Greenwood area.
We’re told the investigation wrapped up when officers observed 24-year-old Richie Hurley, whose drivers license is suspended, driving a blue Dodge Avenger in the Bridgeville area. Hurley pulled into the Royal Farms parking lot in Greenwood and contact was made with both he and 23-year-old Taylor Bowerson, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.
A search of Hurley’s bookbag led to the discovery of approximately 2.457 grams of heroin, approximately .43 grams of crack cocaine, and approximately 2.49 grams of marijuana. Both were subsequently taken into custody.
Hurley was charged with possession with intent to deliver tier 2 heroin, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended. He was held at SCI on a $15,000 secured bond.
Bowerson was charged with making a false statement and was released on her own recognizance.
