Beebe Healthcare holds ribbon cutting event for new Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus entrance

LEWES, Del.- Beebe Healthcare held a ribbon cutting for their newly renovated entrance at their Lewes Campus.

The ribbon cutting for the new entrance at the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus took place at 3:30 p.m.

We’re told the project took 6 months to a year to complete, but they had some delays due to COVID-19.

Dr. David Tam, President and CEO of Beebe, said that as a hospital they recognized that they needed a better way for patients to come in and out of their building.

“There’s a lot more in and out going on that hospitals in the past had never really physically designed, and so having a design with more on ramps and off ramps to the freeway gives people the ability to get in, drop off their patients, drop off their families and then pick them up easier,” Dr. Tam said.

Dr. Tam said this new entrance will help them to better serve people coming in for screenings for COVID-19.

We are told the next thing they will be celebrating is their new cancer center that will open soon .
