Teen arrested in connection to four Dover burglaries

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection to four separate area burglaries.

Just after 2 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to the Betsy Ross restaurant after two males reportedly used a concrete block to break a glass door to the business. Once inside, the suspects checked cash registers, but they were empty. The suspects then fled the scene.

Through surveillance footage, police were able to get descriptions of the suspects, and located one of them in the area of Kenton Road a short time later. Further investigation led police to link to juvenile suspect to three other recent burglaries:

  • Chaiyo Sushi Restaurant: June 14th
  • Happy Fortune: June 10th and June 11th
  • Valero Station (Forrest Ave): June 5th

Police charged the juvenile with four counts of third degree burglary, second degree conspiracy, four counts of criminal mischief, and four counts of theft/attempted theft.
