Layton’s Chance Vineyard celebrating their 10th anniversary in a new way this weekend

VIENNA, Md.- The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t stopping a local winery from celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Layton’s Chance Vineyard and Winery in Vienna will be holding a celebration this weekend.

They said they typically hold their anniversary events on Memorial Day weekend, but had to push it back this year.

At this weekend’s event, the winery will be debuting and selling two new bottles of wine and a special anniversary label, and guests can expect the celebration to look different this year because people will have to follow social distancing guidelines.

“Rather than waiting for the next thing to change we’ve decided that we’re gonna assume these are our parameters for quite awhile and  how can we do the best that we can and have the most fun,” Jennifer Layton, the general manager, said.

Layton told us that their new wines will be on sale on Saturday from 11 to 6 and Sunday 12 to 5.

Plus, she said that there will be a live band at 6 Saturday night, but the event is already sold out.
