Health officials announce 98 new COVID-19 cases, 2 new deaths in Del.

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says there are two new deaths related to the coronavirus in Delaware.

We’re told the most recent deaths ranged in age from 77 to 83, and both were long-term care residents in New Castle County. To date, 509 Delawareans have died from the virus.

Officials have also announced an additional 98 cases, bringing the statewide total to 11,474. New Castle County has seen the most cases with 5,065, while Sussex County has had 4,681, and Kent has had 1,690. 64 individuals are currently hospitalized, 13 of whom are critically ill.

A total of 6,667 Delawareans have made a full recovery from COVID-19.
