Health officials announce 75 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death in Del.
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says one additional person has died as a result of the coronavirus in the state.
We’re told the individual was an 86-year-old female long-term care resident from Sussex County. To date, 345 Delawareans have died from complications of COVID-19.
There are also 75 new positive cases in the state, bringing the total number of cases to 9,171. Sussex County has seen 4,151 cases, while 1,392 have been in Kent, and 3,575 in New Castle. 192 individuals are currently hospitalized, 35 of whom are critically ill.
More than 5,000 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
