Division of Public Health reporting 192 new cases, 7 new deaths in Del.

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says an additional seven people have died as a result of coronavirus in the state.

To date, 317 Delawareans have died from complications of the virus. Six of the seven most recent deaths were from New Castle County, while one was from Sussex. We’re told all seven had underlying health conditions, and ranged in age from 62 to 88.

Officials are also reporting 192 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 8,386. Sussex County has seen 4,006 cases, while Kent has seen 1,281, and New Castle has seen 3,053. At this time, 220 individuals are hospitalized, 39 of whom are critically ill.

4,130 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
