Art League offering free classes to youth

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Staying busy while being quarantined at home can sometimes be difficult, but new free art classes offered by the Art League of Ocean City can help.

The organization is offering free classes to youth, all thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

The classes will cover all different types of art, including drawing, and even poetry.

Leaders at the art league tell 47 ABC that while the classes are helpful while keeping busy, they can also be beneficial to children or teens struggling during the pandemic.

“Sometimes people have a hard time expressing how they feel, or even accessing and realizing how they’re feeling, and they kind of let it out through their art,” Executive Director Rina Thaler said.

For a list of dates and times of the classes, you can head to the Art League’s website.
