Viking defense sinks Kent Island in key Bayside North battle
STEVENSVILLE, Md. – Cambridge-South Dorchester rebounded from a sluggish first quarter to score a decisive road win against Kent Island, 62-53, Thursday night.
Parker Wynot’s 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded on the first quarter was the climax to a period won by Kent Island, 17-8.
The Viking defense clamped down in the second, allowing just three field goals, while Dajawan Jackson and Donald Banks each dropped eight in the quarter.
Cambridge continued their pressure defense and hot shooting in the third, eventually going on a 32-10 run.
Jackson finished with 18 points, Vejon Ashley contributed 12. Cole Katrovil led Kent Island with 17 points.
