Turnovers doom Decatur in opening round of Governors Challenge

SALISBURY, Md. – Stephen Decatur High School fell to Georgetown Day in their opening game of the Governors Challenge, 68-49.

Decatur started strong, building up a 7-point first half lead, but it quickly evaporated. The Seahawks were outscored 43-26 in the second half.

Theo Hobbs led Decatur in scoring with 12 points. Brock Davis and Montez McNeil each had 20 for Georgetown Day.

Sloppy play killed the Seahawks all afternoon, as they committed 20 turnover, compared to Georgetown Day’s 5.

Decatur will play Huntingtown (MD) Friday at 11:45 AM at Bennett High School.
