Team Baltimore takes 2019 Crab Bowl
First time ever Crab Bowl held on Eastern Shore
SALISBURY, Md- For the first time in it’s 12 year history, the Maryland Crab Bowl, an exhibition football game between some of the best prospects in the entire state, was held on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Fans made the trip across the bridge and locally to see Team Baltimore score 28-straight points to down Team Washington 28-6.
Team Washington got on the board early in the first, when Walter Johnson’s Josh Forburger hits Royal Institute’s Damari Graham for a 4-yard score. With a 6-0 deficit, Team Baltimore’s QB Trayshawn Ray (Dundalk) picked up a fumble from his own player and get into the endzone to give his team in a 7-6 lead.
The score would remain 7-6 after the first quarter, but Team Baltimore would establish their dominance thereafter. Elkton QB Nolan Null would orchestrate a drive that ended with a Marlowe Wax (Mount St. Joseph’s) 1-yard touchdown. A safety and an Evan Warren FG would give Baltimore a 19-6 lead headed into the locker room.
In the second half, Team Baltimore would get another FG from Warren, and a Trevin Ewing 51-yard catch for score to win 28-6.
In all, 13 Bayside players suited up for Team Washington. Khalik Beasley (CSD), Logan Middleton (CSD), Takai Davis (Bennett), Ronnie Satchell (WiHi), Stephaun Harris (WiHi), Andre Matthews (WiHi), Da’Cameron McAfee (Decatur), Zach Hickman (Decatur), Gabe Aluma (Decatur), Alijah Bivens (Parkside), Mike Collins (Parkside), Trenton Hillard (North Caroline), Kendron Wayman (North Caroline) all participated in the game.
