Former Bennett High School Vice Principal charged with criminal summons

SALISBURY, Md. – A former Vice Principal at James M. Bennett High School has been charged on a criminal summons.

According to court documents, Kimandi Binns has been charged with one count of failure to report abuse/neglect and one count of conspiracy to not report abuse/neglect. He was served with the summons on Friday.

Binns served as Vice Principal under now-former Principal Amy Eskridge, who was charged with prevention or interference with a report of suspected abuse neglect back in February. All charges stem from the arrest of guidance counselor Allen Mitchell back in January.

Mitchell was indicted on 30 charges, including child pornography, sex abuse of a minor, and third degree sex offense. He pleaded guilty back in October to sex abuse of a minor and child pornography charges.

Binns is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on January 3rd.

Mitchell is scheduled to be sentenced on January 30th. Eskridge is scheduled to go to trial February 10th and 11th.
